Moral Imagination – The Audacity To Imagine The World As It Could Be
YTL Foundation held its annual thought leadership event for 2019 called “An Evening Dialogue on Moral Imagination – The Audacity To Imagine The World As It Could Be” in collaboration with Acumen, the non-profit organisation founded by Jacqueline Novogratz.
Jo-Ann Tan, Director of +Acumen, the world’s online school for social change gave the keynote speech and spoke about the global vision of Acumen which was to build entrepreneurial moral leaders who were locally rooted but globally connected and who had strong character and audacity to imagine the world as it could be and resilience to challenge the status quo.
The speech was followed by a 45-minute panel discussion on moral leadership with panellists comprising of Anita Ahmad, Head of Community Development at Yayasan Hasanah, Navin Muruga, 2016 Acumen Global Fellow, John-son Ooi, CEO of Epic Collective and Jo-Ann Tan herself and moderated by Oga Chan, Programme Lead of Acumen Academy Malaysia.
The night was graced by the presence of 200+ social impact leaders from the non-profit, for-profit and public sector, and was made extra special by the presence of 5 social enterprises and their beneficiaries: e-lluminate, Project57, The Asli Co., grub cycle and Athena Empowers interacting with the guests and showcasing the work that they do.
